The Story of Peniel Academy

From a small classroom to a leading institution — our story is one of faith, perseverance, and dedication to excellence.

1999

Foundation

Peniel Academy was founded by Dr. Emmanuel Kabila with just 3 classrooms and a vision to provide quality bilingual education in Goma.

2003

Maternelle Expansion

The school expanded with a dedicated early childhood education wing, embracing 4 new teaching staff and over 80 pupils.

2008

Secondary Launch

Peniel launched its Secondaire program, completing the full academic cycle from nursery through high school graduation.

2013

Ministry Accreditation

Official accreditation from the Ministry of Education, Democratic Republic of Congo — a milestone validating our academic standards.

2018

Technology Integration

A computer science lab and technology program were introduced, bringing 21st-century skills to students in Goma.

2025

Digital Transformation

Launch of a modern school management platform, digital enrollment system, and online learning resources for our growing community.
